Our shoot with Bernadette and Evan in Venice happened purely by coincidence. We were so lucky it all came together because Venice is one of the most amazing places we have ever shot! While we were doing Bernadette and Evan’s engagement session, we happened to ask where they were going for their honeymoon. As it turned out, they were going on a Mediterranean cruise that started in Venice the Monday after Karinna and Dario’s wedding in Ruino. There was no way we could pass up the chance to do their pics there! We had them meet up with us at our hotel where Bernadette unpacked her wedding dress (she brought it in a space bag!) and got ready for the shoot. Then we just walked the streets finding anything that caught our eye. We did almost the entire shoot within three blocks of the hotel. Everywhere you turn there is a beautiful location for pics!
We knew that we could not pass up the chance to do pics of them with gelato. Evan loved it so much that we had to stop again later and get him some more! Also notice how Bernadette is wearing sneakers under her dress (she had them on for all of our pics). That’s totally the sign of a veteran of our photo shoots!
Everywhere we went it was a complete spectacle! Tourists kept stopping to watch us taking pics and even took some pictures themselves. Right after this shot, a group of tourists saw Bernadette’s sparkly sneakers and stopped her to take a picture of them.
Right after we took this shot, a little old Italian lady walked by and a bird pooped in her hair! We helped her get it out, and then she dragged Dusty down the street to show him a spot where she thought we should take a picture. The lady only spoke Italian, and Dusty (who speaks Spanish, not Italian) could only understand about half of what she was saying to him after she repeated it 3 times! We finally just brought Bernadette over and let the lady put her in front of the gate she wanted for the picture.
