Lesli and Travis are both from Montana, and came out to California to have a romantic elopement for just the two of them! They were staying at the Pelican Inn at Muir Beach, so we started off the day with pics of the two of them at the inn, which is the cutest little English-style cottage. After their pics there, we drove down to Muir Beach itself where the beach and water were glowing in all the crisp afternoon light! Then it was off to Muir Woods for their actual elopement ceremony. It was just me, Dusty, and their officiant with them, and they stood at the foot of one of the giant redwood trees to say their vows. After the ceremony we wandered around all the boardwalks and trees to do some more pics with all the stunning light coming through the forest!

Katy and Chris’ wedding took place in not one, but two gorgeous back yards in Santa Paula, CA. Chris’ parents have a beautiful house surrounded by custom stonework for the landscaping, so they decided to hold their ceremony there, with the reception being held next door at a family friend’s house. We started off the day with Katy and her girls getting ready at the reception house while Chris and his guys got ready at Chris’ parents’ house. While Dusty did pics of everyone getting ready, I had a field day taking pics of all the fun little details that Katy and Chris used to decorate their ceremony and reception. I absolutely loved all the little custom signs they had everywhere, especially the white metal letters that they used to spell out their last name! I also can’t get enough of vintage books! I really love all the old patterns that they used to use inside of book covers, so I took advantage of one of those to do a really fun ring shot. The trees that were everywhere in both yards were huge and made a fantastic backdrop for the ceremony and Katy and Chris’ formal pics. Chris’ house also had a wonderful little trellised walkway with wisteria hanging down that made for such romantic pictures!

Cynthia and Uyiosa’s Wedding took place at the Napa Valley Marriott in Napa, CA. Cynthia’s family is from Nigeria, and Uyiosa is from there as well, so they decided to do a mix of events and traditions from both Nigerian and American styles of weddings. We started off the day with Cynthia and her bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite at the Marriott. You’ll see in the pics below that Cynthia had a few different outfits that she wore throughout the wedding day, and she started with her white wedding gown for the ceremony. The sun was starting to get lower in the sky as we drove to the ceremony at St. Apollinaris Church, which made for the perfect time to pull off on the side of the road and do some gorgeous shots in the vines by the hotel. After the ceremony we headed back to the reception, which was decorated with beautiful uplights in shades of orange and purple. A lot of the guests at the reception wore their Nigerian formal wear for the event, and we loved how beautiful and elaborate all of the dresses, robes, and headdresses were!
